About the Motivation Programme
We believe the key to weight management isn't what you eat, but why you eat.
Dieting is a temporary solution. A diet doesn't address the habits and behaviours that create the problem in the first place! Our advisors work with you to understand your eating habits. Your assessment includes a health and lifestyle assessment and an introduction to the various programmes available at Motivation. You leave our clinic with a summary and overview of your weight, BMI and body compositions (the amount of fat, muscle and water you are carrying). There is no obligation to proceed with the Programme, but if you do here's what you can expect.What is a Motivation Programme?
Our Programme begins by targeting the behaviours and attitudes that are holding you back from reaching your ideal weight. With that awareness, we set your weight goal and develop a tailored, healthy eating plan that will help you achieve that goal. With private mentoring and support, most of our clients lose an average of a stone in the first 4 - 6 weeks of the programme, and 86% of our clients who complete a maintenance programme not only reach, but maintain their weight goal long-term.What to Expect?
When you contact a clinic, an appointment with a consultant will be made at a time that suits you. The assessment takes approximately 30 minutes. You'll leave our clinic with the results of the health and body compositions analysis.Together you will complete the following:
- Full body composition analysis (fat, muscle & water measurement)
- Take your measurements
- Calculate your body Mass Index
- Heart and blood measurement
- Complete a lifestyle questionnaire (Part 1)
What to Expect?
Your first consultation begins to unravel the reasons why you eat the way you do. This is a personal, one on one consultation and will take over an hour and half to complete. You'll be given a starter pack which includes a cd, a motivational book by Dr. Maurice Larocque (programme founder), your healthy eating food plan booklet tailored to you, a food diary and weekly motivational handouts. You leave armed with all the tools you'll need to begin the programme. Over the coming weeks, we address the personal triggers for bad eating habits. Each week you'll meet with your weight management advisor to review your progress. You will be given nutritional advice, visualization exercises and motivational tools to help tackle your bad habits that brought you to seek help with your weight.Together you will cover the following:
- Introduction to your dedicated weight management advisor
- Complete a lifestyle questionnaire (Part 2)
- Complete medical history questionnaire
- Questionnaire on habits and attitudes
- Introduction to your starter pack
- Review of Weekly consultation plan
- Decide on a tailored eating plan
Eating Plan

Adolescent PlanParent's involvement in the decision to have their adolescent child on the programme is essential. This plan considers the unique nutritional needs of the adolescent client during this period of growth and body development. | Maintenance PlanOnce you've reached your desired weight, you have the option to continue with our Maintenance Plan. Our research shows that clients who follow this plan are virtually guaranteed to keep the weight off long-term. |
Support
You will receive a starter pack when you sign up to a programme. This contains a CD about healthy eating, a motivational book by Dr. Maurice Larocque, a healthy eating food plan booklet tailored to you, a food diary and weekly motivational handouts. Depending on the individual, we may recommend that you take natural, organic vitamins like Omega 3 and 6. And further into your programme you might benefit from other books and CDs which will keep you focussed and on track to meet you goals.Weight Maintenance Programme
Once you have reached your target weight you are now ready for the Weight Maintenance Programme. The Maintenance Programme is designed to help you maintain your target weight forever! You visit your clinic once a month for 12 months for regular check-ups with your consultant and do the mental weight questionnaire to ensure that your motivation is at best and none of your old habits are returning.
