1. Is it a group session?
No, all consultations are on a one to one basis... so it’s extremely private and confidential.
2. How long are the consultations?
The first visit will take approximately one hour and twenty minutes, the second visit will take about half an hour, all visits thereafter will be fifteen minutes in duration.
3. Is it just another Diet?
No, it’s a healthy eating plan which will be tailored to suit your lifestyle and in combination with our behaviour modification programme you will be able to reach but more importantly maintain your desired weight for once and for all.
4. Will I have to spend a lot of time doing the program?
No, only 15 minutes per week for 20 weeks for your consultation, and approximately 20 minutes per day on the motivational CD’s and books.
5. Will I feel hungry and deprived on the plan
No, you will be eating plenty of food, three meals per day plus two snacks. So you will always feel full and never deprived.
6. How much weight can I expect to lose?
Weight loss differs from person to person but the average weight loss from our weight loss program is a stone in 4- 6 weeks.
7. Will I regain the weight once I have lost it?
No, we will be addressing the behaviours and attitudes responsible for your weight gain so that you will be able to maintain your desired weight long-term.
We also provide a weight maintenance programme to ensure you do not regain your weight.
8. Will I have the willpower to stick to it?
It’s not a question of willpower! It’s a question of Motivation. With our motivational programme you can remain motivated and focused throughout your programme.
9. What are the qualifications of the staff?
All consultants are fully trained in Dr Larocque’s eating plans and behaviour modification techniques. All consultants undergo extensive training and are examined before being appointed as a clinic consultant.
10. Is there proof that the programme works and is guaranteed?
Yes, we are the only programme that has clinical studies to show the long-term success rate. A recent study showed that out of a group of 200 clients who were followed for four years on monthly check ups that 86% of the weight loss was maintained. When you follow our programme weight loss is guaranteed.
11. Is there any point in starting now I am going on Holidays... to a wedding .... to a party...in a few weeks.
Absolutely, don’t put it off any longer, how many times have you said to yourself “ I’ll start on Monday” but you know Monday never comes. The sooner you start the sooner you can get rid of your excess weight for once and for all. We also have a special weight loss program designed for your holidays so you can enjoy yourself without feeling deprived.
12. Is my slow metabolism stopping me from losing weight?
No, metabolisms can differ from person to person but a slow metabolism can be compensated by a 20 minute walk a day or a few hundred less calories a day.
13. I Have an under active thyroid so will this stop me from losing weight?
No, we have lots of clients who have succeeded on the weight loss program with this condition, again this can be compensated by a walk of 20 minutes a day or a few hundred less calories.
14. Is it my Genes?
Genetics only play a minor part in weight management. It is usually poor habits and behaviours that are passed on from generation to generation.
15. Will I be seen by a doctor?
You will be monitored by our clinic doctor if you enrol in our Medical plan which is available to clients with large amounts of weight to lose.
